In this workshop, we will explore the art of creating stunning images with a shallow depth of field.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process of understanding and applying the principles of photography, including aperture, focal length, and distance.
We will cover topics such as using a shallow depth of field to create a mood, blurring out distracting backgrounds, and how to use a shallow depth of field to give a bokeh effect behind our subjects to make them pop.

A parade led by samba drummers leads the colourful procession along the Seafront, and we can capture the party atmosphere and follow along to South Parade Pier. The costumes, flags, and decorations provide a colourful palette and the relaxed and inclusive atmosphere will allow us to capture genuine moments of connection and emotion. With its dynamic energy and diverse stories, a Pride march offers endless opportunities for creative and impactful street photography.
Capturing the Spirit of D-Day at Southwick Village

You'll have the chance to photograph people in authentic 1940s dress, military and vintage vehicles, and a lively market and funfair. The setting is rich in atmosphere and perfect for experimenting with a range of street photography techniques. Visitors are there to be seen and photographed, making it a great opportunity for candid and creative shots. Led by group host Jon.

You'll learn how to capture fine details, textures and patterns that are often overlooked, using simple and effective techniques. If you don't have a macro lens we can use other techniques to explore details and the world in miniature. Smartphone shooters will also be able to capture great images!
